One mission: Total abolition of capital punishment
in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Founded in 1998, the mission of Central Pennsylvanians to
Abolish the Death Penalty is "to provide education to the
general public toward the end of abolishing capital
punishment in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania".  An
all-volunteer organization, CPADP teams with like-minded
groups to strategize and carry out public education activities.

Over the years, CPADP events have included execution night
vigils, public rallies, debates, and national speakers.  CPADP
has sponsored events featuring Sister Helen Prejean, former
Illinois Governor George Ryan, death row exonerees Ray
Krone and William Nieves, and former PA Attorney General
Ernie Preate.

CPADP meetings are held on the first Thursday of each
month at 11:30am at the Kline Branch Library, 530 South
29th Street, Harrisburg.  For directions,
